단간론파 시리즈의 메인 스태프들이 개설한 게임사 투쿄 게임즈가 그래딩 주식회사와의 협력으로 개발한 횡스크롤 3D 액션 어드벤처 게임.
총괄 디렉터는 단간론파 시리즈로 유명한 코다카 카즈타카가, 시나리오는 인피니티 시리즈와 극한탈출 시리즈로 알려진 우치코시 코타로가, 캐릭터 디자인은 포켓몬스터 썬&문과 포켓몬스터소드·실드로 유명한 타케(竹)가 담당하였다.
본래 발표되었을 때의 제목은 '데스 마치 클럽(Death March Club)'이었으나 발매 얼마 전에 현재의 제목으로 수정되었다.
뉴 단간론파 V3 -모두의 살인 신학기-가 심의거부를 당한 여파로 인해 본작의 한국어화 가능성에 대해서는 회의적이었으나 개발사의 전작인 Death Come True와 마찬가지로 공식 한국어화를 지원한다.
2020년 9월 4일, 애플 아케이드로 게임이 출시되었으나 아직 게임이 완성된 게 아니라서 중간에 게임이 종료되고 최종 업데이트는 2021년 봄에 이루어질 예정이라고 한다. 아마 스위치판 출시와 동시에 게임이 업데이트될 듯.
2021년 2월 18일 닌텐도 다이렉트에서 공개되었으며 발매일은 2021년 5월 27일로 확정됐다. 닌텐도 e샵에서 예약이 가능하며 체험판 다운로드를 할 수 있다!
발표 당시에 팬덤에서 단간론파 시리즈의 정신적 후속작으로 예상해서 국내에서 '초딩론파'라는 이름으로 불렸지만 단간론파를 오마주한 요소는 많이 있지만 게임 장르도 시스템도 단간론파 시리즈와 별 접점이 없는 작품이었다. 장르도 추리물이 아니며 등급도 12세 이용가이다.
시놉시스
도쿄의 어느 초등학교에, 전국에서의 낙제생들만으로 구성된 "힘내라 반"이라 불리는 반이 있다.
레이쵸 일행은 그 반에 소속된, 조금 별난 아이들이다.
어느 여름 날이었다.
그들이 수학여행을 가던 도중, 타고 있던 버스가 낙석사고에 말려들고 만다.
눈을 떠 보니, 그곳은 바다 한 가운데 건설된 유원지였다.
개장한지 얼마 되지 않아 사람 기척이 없는 정숙한 폐허같은 장소에 레이쵸 일행은 감금당하고 만다.
그곳에서, 어딘가에서 갑자기 나타난 의문의 삐에로한테, 친구들끼리 "살인 게임" 을 할 것을 명령 받는다!
사태를 받아들일 틈도 없이, 그 목숨을 건 게임에 말려들고 만 일동.
그 너무나 이상한 국면을, 어린이들만으로 어떻게 벗어나야 하는가?
어쩌할 방도가 없던 일동이었지만...
그러던 중, 그들에게 신기한 능력이 눈뜨기 시작한다.
한 편 그 무렵...
지상에는 "어떤 이상한 사태"가 발생하고 있었던 것이다.

북미 더빙의 경우 단간론파 시리즈와는 다르게 텍사스계 성우들이 맡았다. 캘리포니아계 쪽이 게임 커리어가 많고 텍사스계 쪽이 애니 커리어가 많은 것을 감안하면 드문 케이스.
애플 아케이드에서 먼저 발매했으나, 실제로는 뒷 내용은 더 기다리라는 미완성 상태이다. 완전판이 나오려면 스위치 판이 발매될 때까지 기다려야할 것으로 보인다.
애플 아케이드로 공개되면서 공식 한글화가 되어 있으나 번역의 퀄리티가 좋지 않다. 전체적인 내용을 이해하는 데에 치명적인 오역은 없으나, 오마쥬 드립을 의역해 버린 것 같은 점은 다소 어쩔 수 없다고 해도, 데스게임을 생존게임이라 번역하거나, 캐릭터들의 특징이나 성격이 완전히 달라져버리는 등, 대사를 보는 재미가 굉장히 중요한 이 게임에서 전반적으로 원본의 느낌을 못 살리는 번역이 굉장히 많다.
엔딩이 두 개 있다. 배드 엔딩과 진엔딩으로 나뉘는데, 엔딩 스크롤이 다 지나고 나면 본인이 고르지 않았던 스테이지로 갈 수 있다.
World's End Club
World's End Club is a puzzle action-adventure game developed by Too Kyo Games and Grounding and published by IzanagiGames. The game was initially released as part of Apple Arcade for iOS and macOS on September 4, 2020, in early access, and the full game was released in May 2021 for Nintendo Switch. The game was written and directed by Kotaro Uchikoshi, directed by Takumi Nakazawa and had Kazutaka Kodaka as creative director.
Plot
Reycho and his fellow members of the Go-Getters Club, a class of sixth grade students, are interrupted by a nearby meteor impact while en route to a field trip from Tokyo in 1995. They awaken in an underwater theme park where a mascot robot named Pielope forces them to play a "Game of Fate," a life-or-death game in which players race to complete an assigned task. With the exception of Reycho, Vanilla, and Pochi, the others appear to be brainwashed. Reycho successfully stops the others from finishing their own tasks and wins the game, only to discover that everyone survived with their minds restored. Pielope attempts to start another game before being taken out by Reycho's classmate Pai, who announces that the game is cancelled on behalf of the mastermind hidden among the class. But she is knocked out before revealing the mastermind as the park begins breaking apart, with the class escaping in a submarine.
The Go-Getters find themselves in Kagoshima, 1200 kilometers away from their home city, Pai unable to remember the mastermind’s identity. The city is abandoned and overrun by strange monsters, so everyone agrees to return home to Tokyo and find out what happened to the world. But a debate among the group occurs over traveling through Fukuoka and the other Oita as the ideal route to reach Tokyo. The story diverges depending on Reycho's choice, with the class going their separate ways. Along the way, each member of the Go-Getters Club awakens to a mysterious superpower with the Oita-bound group learning it is 1996 while the Fukuoka-bound group are joined by an amnesiac girl they named Yuki.
The class reunites in Shikoku where they encounter the Master of a cult dedicated to a powerful artificial intelligence called MAIK while pursued by a rebuilt Pielope out for revenge. Following an incident in either Osaka or Kyoto, the latter event reuniting Kansai and Jennu with a mutual acquaintance, Pai would regain her memories and reveals the Game of Fate’s mastermind to be Vanilla who wanted to undo MAIK’s brainwashing on their friends. Furthermore, it is revealed that Vanilla died in 1994 from being hit by a speeding truck with her ghost seen only by Reycho, Pochi, and Pai.
The gang soon reach Nara and try to use a locomotive to reach Tokyo, only to be confronted by Pielope and learn the robot also seeks to punish the "traitor", resulting in two ending scenarios. One ending depicts the gang splitting up with one half is captured by MAIK's robots before the others rescue them from a factory in Nagoya, with the Master revealed to be overseeing MAIK’s maintenance. The gang steals a helicopter to reach Tokyo before it is struck by debris from an erupting Mt. Fuji, seeing their city in ruins moments prior.
