Nintendo World Cup Multiplayer
133A multiplayer round of Nintendo World Cup for the NES by Technos. Team USA (Duck) take on Team France (MacDaddyNook) on the rocky terrain of the Bumpy Field.
Nintendo World Cup is part of the Kunio-Kun series alongside games such as Super Dodgeball and River City Ransom and features a unique take on the sport of Soccer. Unlike most Soccer games, players control a single character during the entire match, with the AI controlling the rest of the team. Players can give commands to their teammates with the A and B buttons to tell them to attack other players when playing defense or pass the ball or shoot when possessing the ball.
The main feature of Nintendo World Cup is its brawler influence. Players can batter opponents with slides, tackles and special kicks with the ball (with wacky affects like the Power Shots of Super Dodgeball). Every character has a set amount of health and can be knocked out, until the next quarter, should their health be depleted. It is possible to take out an entire opposing team and have free run of the field.
