Hello there and welcome back to another Nioh 2 Live test, Today we're going to see what modifier's and Armour affect Shuriken and Kunai Damage to see if it is indeed possible to build a kunai Build for Dream of the Nioh Difficulty.

The following Test is performed with 775 Ninjitsu power and Paralysis traps to gain Consistent backstab damage numbers as well as only using kunai so not to mess up the test.

First Test - No outside Bonuses 1:28
Front Damage = 417 + 417
Backstab Damage = 1040 + 1040

Second Test - Attack + Attack (Ninjitsu Used) 2:45
Front Damage = 806 + 806
Backstab Damage = 1981 + 1393

Third Test - Melee Damage vs Unscathed Enemy 4:05
Front Damage = 857 + 812
(2nd round) 857 +817
Backstab Damage = 2103 + 1404

Fourth Test - Backstab Damage 5:57
Front Damage = 806 + 810
Backstab Damage = 2195 +1543

Fifth Test - Jutsu Item Damage 7:54
Front Damage = 953 + 958
Backstaab Damage = 2332 + 1638

Sixth Test - Throwing weapon Damage (One Piece) 9:18
Front Damage = 800 + 805
Backstab Damage = 1968 + 1384

Seventh Test - Reduced Defence (Ninjitsu Hit) + 40 Attack 11:25
Front Damage = 800 + 886 + 891
Backstab Damage = 2165 + 1522 + 1531

Final Test - 7 Piece Dragon Ninja and 4 Piece Marici Grace, Jutsu Damage + 200 attack 12::23
Front Damage = 1033 + 1148 + 1148
Backstab Damage = 2769 + 1946 + 1946

Conclusion - Following the damage number's listed above we can conclude that besides Attack (Ninjitsu hit) from the 4 Piece Dragon ninja set all of the listed effects benefit Kunai quite well the less effective being Melee damage vs Unscathed enemies which is only beneficial on the first kunai throw.

Reduce Defence (Ninjitsu Hit) - Marici Grace
Throwing Weapon Damage (If stacked)
Jutsu item damage
Shuriken and Kunai Damage (Note this can not stack with Throwing Weapon Damage)
