Tokyo, Koei Tecmo showcased new gameplay and a trailer of the upcoming PS4 exclusive NiOh, introduced by Director Fumihiko Yasuda.

The trailer showcases the first meeting between the protagonist William and the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, that emerged victorious from the turmoil of the Sengoku era. Incidentally, William speaks in English even in the cutscenes in Japanese, which is quite peculiar, but understandable, since he is a westerner. The video also shows another historical figure, Hattori Hanzo, who will help William through his travels across Japan’s unstable and demon-infested lands.

Incidentally, Koei Tecmo released it in 4K resolution, and it looks really good.

NiOh will release in North America on February 7th, 2017, exclusively for PS4, published directly by Sony Interactive Entertainment. European gamers will have to wait one more day, on February 8th, while Japan will get the game last, on February 9th.
