Nioh was sold to me as a Dark Souls-like game set in feudal Japan. I didn't play the Beta, so when I picked up this game, I didn't fully know what to expect.

I found that it actually borrowed elements from the popular From Software games, but had enough to differentiate it from those games to be sometime all its own. Some changes are good, some aren't so good.

Overall, it's an enjoyable game with a lot to offer. As I played it, I actually found myself thinking of Onimusha a bit more than Dark Souls, personally.
