IM NItin Senthilvel is having a fantastic 2022. He secured 3rd place in 1st Guwahati GM Open in March, 1st in ICA Blitz Rating Open in April, 1st in 1st BUDCA Blitz Open in May, 2nd in 13th Chennai GM Open in June and now the winner of GRT Shasun Jain College International Blitz Rating Open 2022. Both IM Nitin and Prasanna S were on 6.5/7 each, heading into the final round. They knew a draw would probably not be enough, both went all out for a win and Nitin emerged victorious. He won ₹30000 as his first prize. Total prize fund for the Blitz Rating Open was ₹150000.
