No Cows Harmed: World's First Bioprinted Beef Steak is Real Beef and GMO Free from Aleph Farms
The World’s very First 3D Bioprinted Lab-Grown Ribeye Beef Steak From Aleph Farms, With No Cows Harmed.
Imagine: A meat alternative that is made of meat with no cows harmed. That's the reality as the world’s first lab-cultivated, 3D bioprinted Ribeye beef steak has been unveiled by Israel's Aleph Farms and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Unlike regular 3D printing, which uses plastic or ink to build an object, 3D bioprinting uses cells. And in this case, actual cow cells. In order to procure these necessary cells, the cow is not harmed, and from this one cow's cells, more meat can be created than would be possible with the current, unsustainable means of farming beef.
