Part 3 of 4

The final struggle of desperation, and Travis runs out of battery power! He sure looks strange running around holding a hilt like as if there's a full blade there. It's also kind of suspicious to have a full pizza and a 9-volt battery sitting right there, as if the boss is coming up close...but I guess it's there because this stage is just that long.

You know, I wonder who plays the goons in this game. I'm sure it's more than one voice actor, but I'm certain Khary Peyton is one of them, since like many voice actors, he screams in only one way. (No shame in that--even Mel Blanc had a single distinctive screaming voice.) It sounds like Yuri Lowenthal plays some of them too. It's not credited though.

Speaking of Yuri Lowenthal, he is the voice of Jasper Batt Jr. He doesn't sound much like most of the other stuff he plays, but I wonder if it's even further removed from his role as Charlie Macdonald. Jasper is so special as an opponent, there is a special room of absolutely nothing just before his office, where Travis will take him on.

Now, we've seen a silhouette of Jasper at the beginning, when Sylvia meets up with Travis at Burger Suplex. (It's in "Rank 50 - Plumb Loco.") He seemed to be a bald man with glasses. Well, that seems to be a pretty accurate description of him, except for possibly the "man" part--he looks and sounds like a tween boy, but I guess he's got the smarts and power to run the UAA and control much of Santa Destroy with an iron fist. Pretty diminutive for Travis's ultimate adversary. You'd expect someone taller. And without buck teeth.

Now, Jasper says something about Travis murdering his two brothers and his father, and you may be wondering when THAT happened. Well, that happened in No More Heroes 1. In that game, Travis can do some actual assassination as sidequests. That is, he can accept them, decline them, or save them for later, and he'll get monetary payment at the end. Three of the sidequests involve the executives of Pizza Batt (then called Pizza Butt as the first game hadn't yet established the bat motif and the translators took a guess), and they were Jasper Sr. and two of his sons, leaving only Jasper Batt Jr. left. Overcome with grief, Jasper picked himself up, took over the Pizza Batt corporation, expanded it even further, and became the main sponsor for the UAA for the sole purpose of getting his own revenge on Travis. To show he's being serious, well, check out whats on those platters.

Which means our final battle will be for revenge on both sides.

Now, Jasper Batt Jr.'s main weapon is his flying car. He also uses these mechanical bats that fly over to the ceiling and shoot lasers, which, personally, is a bigger threat than his zooming down trying to run Travis over. I guess this means he's got no combat ability of his own. Nevertheless, he has the smallest window to attack of anyone Travis has faced, because Jasper spends most of his time out of Travis's reach. I spent some time trying to find a way to hit him as he's zooming down without getting hit, and as it seems, a charge attack works just fine. This sends Travis into a weapon clash with Jasper, and if he wins, he knocks Jasper around in the car and can wail on him. Later on, when a certain something happens, those mechanical bats will no longer fight Travis. Instead, Jasper throws a bomb at Travis. This might not seem like much, but it effectively prevents Travis from fully charging an attack and thus forces you to time a weapon clash more precisely than before.

Also, notice Henry fighting in the corner, fending off those robo-bats?
