No One Lives Forever Part 6: I Don't Personally Scuttle This Freighter
FINALLY another Monolith Productions game. We got another classic on our hands here, boys. The Operative: No One Lives Forever is a cheeky take on the ever popular secret agent/spy films, tv shows, and novels of the 1960s, with the most obvious inspirations being James Bond, Mission: Impossible, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E... but I feel as though some other mysterious man who traveled internationally to thwart evil-doers' plans may have played a part in shaping what this lovely game became. We assume the role of the skilled and talented cat-burglar turned UNITY operative Cate Archer. Why are all of our agents turning up dead? Who is the mole? What the crap does H.A.R.M. stand for?!?! We'll figure some of that out...
I'll never forget my immediate attraction to this game, that it was such a continuation and advancement on what GoldenEye 007 had started just barely 3 years prior.
Anyways, super unfortunately, there is currently no way to purchase this game. Hopefully the fine folks at NightDive can acquire this series so we can see a proper re-release for those unlucky enough to have missed it back in the day.
