No Playstation 5 Release in 2019, Say Sources | Vega 7nm Not for Gaming? & More
Today, several of Kotaku's sources have shutdown the rumors that Sony's Playstation 5 will be coming out in 2019, saying that the new console is far, far off. We discuss what we can expect from the specs of the PS5, and whether or not there will be any forwards or backwards compatibility.
Next, we have an interesting report on AMD's 7nm Vega, which basically claims that we will not see a gaming variant of this particular graphics card. This is pure speculation, but it's an interesting point to consider - would AMD really put this new architecture to work in a purely top level (Data center, AI,etc) capacity.
Finally, we have some rumors on the follow up to Intel's i7 8700K, which is going to be the 10nm Ice Lake silicon. According to an infamous leaker, it is going to have at least 8 cores. What else did they have to say regarding the CPU?
