So this is the reason that the latest stream compilation took me so long to do. It's been a struggle figuring out how I would do it.

Trying to do mostly everything in 3d and then giving up after not being able to figure out Blender, animating and re-animating the trial room spin around cause it didn't match up correctly with the timing and wouldn't leave enough time to read the dialogue. Drawing all the sprites I needed only to realize I needed two more for the overlay. Re-doing the pixel animation because I made it too small on the first try and it was all very low resolution. Having absolutely no idea how I was going to do the slot machine scene and had to redo it about 3 times to get it right... as I said, it's been a struggle.

I want to believe it was worth it though. even if it took me about 6 weeks straight of trying to work on this in between all the procrastinating I was doing and stressing over it way too much, I hope that the end result is enjoyable and I can certainly say I learned a few things for future projects.

The voting and slot machine background and animated scene was a random video on youtube I found of the actual scene from the game. I believe the specific one I used was "Danganronpa 1: All character deaths". It should be really easy to find if you just search for it.
