Noctua NH-U12A Review + AMD XFR2 and PBO tested with LN2
Cooling is a very important topic, especially with the boost technology in the latest CPU and GPU, a better cooler will give you better performance, and since Noctua NH-U12A is the new born of a very successful series of top performer, I had to test it myself! :)
The base configuration used is the following:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with Precision Boost Overdrive enabled in Windows via Ryzen Master
ASUS Crosshair VII Hero
Flare X 3200 C14
Sound level measuring device:
Trotec SL400 - Accuracy class 2 (Certified IEC 61672 and ANSI S1.4.)
Studio base level noise: 31dBA
The test was done with a controlled temperature of 24°C for all the cooler tested
Measurement was taken at 50cm away from the test bench
