Noetix Robotics Promotes Humanoid Robot for $5,570 Before May 1
Noetix Robotics (Chinese name Song Yan Dong Li), established in September 2023 in Beijing, said it raised hundreds of millions of yuan within one year. The startup made headlines when its humanoid robots demonstrated the ability to perform continuous backflips with near-perfect stability.
Noetix is currently promoting its N2 and E1 robots on WeChat, with a starting price of 39,900 yuan ($5,570) before May 1. E1 is an upgraded version of N2 with a taller height (1.36m), an additional waist degree of freedom (for twisting motions), and an increased arm flexibility (5 DoF per arm, with an optional 7 DoF upgrade and five-finger dexterous hand). N2 has a delivery time of 2 weeks while delivery for E1 begins in August. however, due to safety concerns, the robots do not come with backflip functionality. The robots are available for rent at 10,000 yuan per day, though it seems unlikely that many would choose this option.
Noetix stated that damage caused by improper operation, including modifications made through custom code, will incur repair costs, covering only labor and material expenses. That sounds reasonable.
The company also reminds potential buyers that current models are not yet capable of fully replacing humans in household chores. Additionally, the company provides few updates on its official WeChat account or website.
