Xiaomi’s Robotics Strategy: "I Can Do This, But Won't Invest Heavily Right Now"
Xiaomi has so far highlighted two robotic products: a dog called CyberDog and a humanoid called CyberOne. However, it appears that the technology giant was making more of a statement of capability—"I can do this too"—rather than fully committing to their production.
Amidst speculations that CyberOne would soon be produced at Beijing’s Yizhuang(E-town) plant between March and April, a Xiaomi representative clarified that some of this information is not accurate, as reported by Sohu.com in March 2025. So the most remarkable aspect of CyberOne so far is its 3-minute promotional video.
This development approach aligns with Xiaomi's strength in integrating supply chain resources and reflects a general sentiment among digital giants: optimism about robotics but reluctance to assemble large teams or make significant investments at the current stage.
