The Nord Drum allows you to EITHER use one MIDI channel per pad – but this occupies 6 MIDI channels (which I never have) and doesn't work with sequencer drum tracks. Or you can use a single, global MIDI channel and use notes 60, 62, 64, 65, 67 and 69 to trigger the 6 pads. But then you would have to use CC 70 to select a pad and THEN apply CC 7 to change volume levels … which isn't possible when using MIDI controller faders. UNLESS you use a hack like I did.
