Nosgoth-Summoner and Prophet gameplay-Using the Noscam
0Hi folks. Today we're taking a look at the vampires vs humans game currently in open beta and it's called Nosgoth. Nosgoth is produced by Square and it takes place in the Legacy of Kain universe. I've been playing this game on and off most nights since the beta was released and it actually is quite fun.
In this video, I show you what it's like to use the in-game match viewer called Noscam. It allows you to watch replays of you matches similar to the one now built into HOTS. The player basically has pause, free camera, fixed camera, speed up and slow mo. Unfortunately, it does not have much else. It also lacks a decent amount of what I would think to be rather useful information.
Some of what I find lacking in the viewer is the lack of a scoreboard and the fact that the health stations do not show as "live" when a human walks up to one. When you watch the viewer, you have to keep tack of your own deaths/kills and you might not be able to tell a death from an assist. Also, you don't know if a human is just standing near a health station fapping away or if they are actually stocking up. You also can not change the camera angles while the control hud is up which again limits the noscam usability.
Nosgoth is definitely a fun game and worth checking out. People who like and are familiar with the Legacy of Kain universe may get a bit more out of the game than those who are simply playing it for fun. In general, I've come to notice what typical match flow seems to be. Generally, each match is about giving yourself a big enough gap in score as a vampire so that you don't lose the match totally when you are a human. The match is scored by adding up your vampire and human rounds. Certain vampire combos seem especially deadly like tyrants mixed with sentinels. While there is a lot of audible warnings for those 2 types, you find yourself looking around frantically and it's very easy to be distracted by checking the air only to be bowled over by a charging tyrant.
