Frustrated with NBA 2K20? Can't quite put your finger on the reason? Wondering why you seemed to have more fun with past NBA 2K titles? (2K17 and prior), here are some of the possible reasons why you could be feeling this way.

This game is plagued with player movement issues that not only hurt the look of the game, but the feel and authenticity as well. Wonder why I have stuck with 2K17 and prior? These are some of the reasons why. The new motion system that was implemented for 2K18 introduced a lot of player movement issues (And blow by issues) that were not present in those past titles.

1. Constant skating/sliding/floating
2. Being sucked into other players OFTEN
3. Speed/Acceleration breaking
4. Slow motion side by side drives
5. Blow by defense in the half court
6. Unrealistic feel and delay on catch and gos, first steps, drives to the hoop (etc)
7. Delayed animations

Were the games prior to 2K18 perfect? No. Did some of the issues above exist? yes. But not at the rate they exist in these newer titles. Volume matters, and it doesn't happen NEARLY as much with the old motion system.

Upon release of NBA 2K20, they stated that worked on the fott planting and improved it, it's in the devs notes. However, I have gone back and forth between 2K19 and 2K20, and not only has it not improved, it actually feels worse in a lot of ways. Partially because being sucked into other players is worse than last year, which also causes skating at times.
