I was playing vanilla Half-Life from Steam; not Source, and without any mods or file changes. I had just downloaded the game and verified my files.

Randomly, sometimes, the crowbar's first hit on an enemy was extremely slow - as slow as a missed attack when Gordon swings at the air. It should be always fast when it hits anything. This is not how I remember the crowbar to work in OG Half-Life.

Also a very old and well documented bug: when attacking corpses the crowbar attacks at supersonic speeds. This had little to no impact in gameplay, however.

I have no idea how to fix either of these bugs. It's probably on Valve's side. Valve pls fix.
