I was playing vanilla Half-Life from Steam; not Source, and without any mods or file changes. I had just downloaded the game and verified my files.

This scientist has a "flying" animation that is supposed to make it look like it's being grabbed by the tentacle. However, the animation is out of sync with the movement of the tentacle, and it looks like it is lagging half a second behind. The result makes it looks like the scientist is floating through the air.
