NOT WORTH $60: Total War Pharaoh Fails In Almost Every Way
Total War: Pharaoh is Creative Assembly’s next major Historical game. And is developed by the Sofia team who’s previous work include the Rome 2 DLCs Empire Divided & the Rise of the Republic as well as the Total War Saga games Thrones of Britannia and more recently Troy. All of these have over time had mostly mixed reviews and mixed success. But It's generally accepted that this development studio releases polished, well made games that end up being pretty good value.
Now I’ve personally had access to Pharaoh for about 3 weeks now. I’ve spent over 50 hours playing 4 campaigns so I think I’ve got a lot of experience to make a thorough review. In this video I’ll be talking about whether Pharaoh is worthy of being the definitive Bronze Age game, whether it’s a challenging, replayable and Historical Total War and whether with all of that in mind if it’s worth buying for the ripe standard price of $60.
