Total War Pharaoh for the first time in the series will have cosmetic packs. The Heart of the Shardana pack which will add a new reskin to bodyguards and this Avatar of the Gods pack which will add a unique skin for each of the 8 launch faction leaders. But what I’m worried about pre-order packs aside is the implications this has for modding support both in Pharaoh, and if this becomes a trend in the series, the future of Total War games as a whole.

So in this video I talk about how Total War over the years has been going through a slippery slope of not only DLC practices but also less and less support for mod capabilities and especially why, depending on the success of these cosmetic packs, CA could continue down the line of limiting mod support in a way we've never seen before.
