Trying something New (to me) in November I'll be taking a look at the Dragon 32, a machine from Wales released in 1982 that, much like Tandy's Coco, was built around a reference design from Motorola which incorporated a MC6809E CPU, MC6847 Video Controller and a MC6883 to oversee memory accesses.

This means the system shares many characteristics with the CoCo, albeit with the Dragon units outputting PAL instead of NTSC as they were for the British market. A lot of CoCo software was ported, and indeed many cartridges are directly compatible.

The majority of the software for the Dragon was sold on Tape Cassette, and looking beyond the CoCo ports there was plenty of original software released despite the machine quickly falling behind the ZX Spectrum, and later Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64 in terms of popularity and market share. Some of this software was good, some of it was terrible, and in this stream I'll be looking across the library.
