Last year Square Enix released the remake of Live a Live for the Nintendo Switch. The original 1994 release of Live a Live was for the SNES, which never left Japan. So the 2022 Switch release was the first time western audiences were able to play this venerable JRPG. This game definitely benefits from Square's HD-2D graphics engine. But how is this game and does it hold up to modern JRPGs? In this video I'll give my initial impressions. The full review is coming in the near future.
