I 'sort of' compete at this site; http://www.cyberscore.co.uk and I came across scores of 11!! one ups on this special challenge. before that I knew 6 was possible by also pounding the Koopa.. I could not find any footage, and I was too stubborn to ask how... So I went investigating. I had an idea because Koopa's re-spawn if you don't really kill them. First I got to 8 without flying to the flagpole, then I thought about going back and forth, not really possible because you will land on the flagpole if you do. You really have to nick the invisible wall above the flagpole. 11 is possible because I killed one Goombrat too many. Maybe 13 is also possible but I don't know whether time would allow it and perhaps 1 more if you can also do the pound trick successfully. By no means perfect, but I think you catch my drift, finally a video that shows how to get past 6 (or even 10 if you're just more awesome than me! :P lol)
