Nuzlocke Official Rules:

1) Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be put in the Pokémon Storage System permanently.
2) Only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. If the first encounter in the area is a Double Battle in dark grass, the player may choose which of the two Pokémon they would like to catch. If there's a static encounter in the area, the player is allowed to capture them despite already capturing a Pokémon in that area. Shiny Pokémon also do not apply to this rule.

Nuzlocke Optional Rules:

3) Nickname all of their Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
4) If usable Pokémon remain in PC, the game may continue.
5) Trade and Gift Pokémon are prohibited. However, I can (if possible) trade for the purpose of evolving.
6) Challenge starts upon acquiring Pokéballs.
7) The “dupes clause” is in effect. Duplicate Pokémon can be passed up.
8) Can catch all legendary and shiny Pokémon, but they are ineligible for the challenge. However, I will be shiny-hunting legendary Pokémon. Due to this, I won’t catch Palkia or the Lake Guardians until after the Elite 4.
9) Unique zones within the Grand Underground count as separate routes.
10) Can catch one Pokémon in the Grand Underground after each gym.
11) Once per gym, a Pokémon may be caught in the Grand Underground. As all Pokémon spawn at once and begin wondering upon entering a room, a type will be declared. Once a Pokémon of that type spawns, the room is "locked," and a wandering Pokémon must be targeted for capture.
12) Battle Mode is "Set".
