NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti now at Scan.co.uk - Launch and 3D Mark Time Spy results
Today marks the launch of the GTX1660 Ti. This graphics card features the Turing based TU116 GPU, offering 1536 cuda cores on the 12 nanometer process. This is the first Turing based card to use the GTX name.
You can see how the specifications stack up against both the RTX based cards that launched last year, and the previous Pascal 10 series cards

The new comer having 6 gigabytes vs the older GTX 1070's 8GB, However the GTX 1660 Ti memory is significantly faster offering GDDR6 12 gigabits per second of bandwidth vs GDDR5 8 gigabits per second on the GTX 1070.
Clock speeds are also improved on the 1660 Ti offering a boost clock of 1770 megahertz.
Performance is significantly faster than the GTX 1060 6GB and on par with the GTX 1070.
In our initial testing the GTX 1660 Ti scored a 3D mark Time Spy score of 6159. This compares to our previous scores of 4420 for the GTX 1060, 5904 for the GTX 1070 and 6939 for the GTX 1070 Ti. And for reference the RTX 2060 scored 7402. In our case here the GTX 1660 Ti actually out performed the GTX 1070 so so we are keen to test if this is representative of real world performance.
