NVIDIA ShadowPlay Overview [BF4 Footage]
Hello Ladies and Fanboys...
As I'm a owner of a NVIDIA GTX 670, I and many others now have the ability to record out footage using the GTX 6XX & 7XX series h.264 built-in chip to record flawlessly for high resolution video playback :)
ShadowPlay has some nice features but basic to start off with.
You can record at 1080p 60FPS, enable 'Shadow Recording' which will tell the GPU to film the last 10 minutes (or 20 minutes for GTX 7XX) so you'll never come away with nothing.. You can of course enable manual, or combine the two features together!
Records game audio, Skype, TS and any background chatter which is useful but doesn't give you the option like DxTory to assign different audio waves to record for individual editing, nor does it record your own microphone.
A FPS counter and some GPU / CPU hardware monitoring would be quite handy but then again, we've still got MSi afterburner and so on.
Ability to change the resolution and FPS of the recording would be nice, don't get me wrong 1080p 60 FPS is awesome for these kind of file sizes, but y'all get meh :)
Writes at around 5mb/s which to DxTory etc is NOTHING! Nvidia stated there maybe a 5% performance hit, but so far I've noticed literally nothing compared to DxTory.
I will most likely continue to use this for High End / Graphical whoring games :)
Hope you enjoyed!
