NY and LA. Is that a Pokémon reference? You tell me. [Super Baseball Simulator 1.000]
Welcpme to Super Baseball Simulator 1.000. Like the bame of the game implies, this is an enhanced version (Sequel?) of Baseball Simulator 1.000 on the NES. I had a (base) ball playing the NES version, will the SNES installment be the same?
Today's game is shortened to only 5 innings. I play as the New York not-Mets of the Northern League (Kind of the NL). I decide to play against LA, which may be quite the challenge given how good LA is at shortened baseball excursions (I'm joking to any LA fans watching, don't get your panties in a bunch).
The game is very defense oriented, with phenomenal pitching performances from both Casey and Donny. No players could really get any insane breakaways. The one run of the game happened in the top of the third when LA's shortstop committed a fatal error, causing Donny to advance to Base #2. Aaron steps up to the plate next and hits a routine fly ball for LA's righte fielder to feast on. Barney takes the plate after Aaron and hits a nasty ball right to the wall, allowing everyone's favorite pitcher to return home. Snarky comments about LA's shortstop aside, Donny was certainly the player of the game due to his outstanding performance on both sides of the ball.
Also NY? LA? Get it? Like the beta names for Koffing and Weezing.
