Initially, I planned on building a fortress to weather the incoming zombie horde as warned by the game, but then, I quickly realized that it's probably not possible within just 5 days, so I pivoted, and tried to find that coveted safe haven up North(east).

Didn't find this safe haven but I did stumble upon a settlement that looks good enough... but the thing is, for them to accept me (playing as Bub), they expect me to bring them a whole bunch of materials to repair their defenses. Sounds fair and all, except that that's (again) not possible to do within just 5 days, so I have only 1 last resort - repair my pickup truck by hopefully finding all the necessary components.

I was fairly lucky in the sense I've managed to find all components, but my first run ended prematurely as I got swarmed by enemies and I was too encumbered to run far with the energy limits I have - in fact, I personally think that encumbrance is unavoidable here. Thankfully, I had a good saved game and I tried again from there. Made it in the end :)
