Observing the Observatories | Civ 6 - Harbinger of the Apocalypse Challenge - Part 2
84Civilization VI and the Harbinger of the Apocalypse challenge continues as we get some half-decent science going (at last!) with the construction of our first observatories. These are the Mayan special district and don't get adjacency bonuses from mountains but instead from farms and plantations, so our placement has to be a little bit different.
We explore the map a lot more and meet some more of our neighbouring civs, although none are too close to us which is a relief. However there are some feelings of discontent toward us so we may have issues in the future.
We get another city settled and begin to make good progress with our civics, plus the gold rolls in quite nicely indeed.
Also we strive for a golden age, a scout has a fight and we summon a rather special unit...

Map size: Small
Map type: Primordial
Playing as: Maya
Mode: Apocalypse
Victory type: Score victory ONLY (game limited to 2000 turns!)
Challenge Rules:
Create as much Co2 and pollution as possible to push the world climate meter up to the final level.
Always buy Soothsayers whenever we have enough faith to do so.
Only have a score victory type available.
Be the last Civ standing.
