My hairband snapped in the middle of the performance, and I gotta act like nothing big is happening and continue my performance. 🤣 It came back to bite me when I was about to reach the highest point of the 2nd song. I flung my head as it the song reaches the final chorus. With my mouth aimed towards the mouthpiece, I place my mouth back onto it and blow out the first note...... No sound? Why are there so many strands in my mouth... I ACCIDENTALLY BIT MY FLUNG HAIR AND MY MOUTH IS NOW FULL OF HAIR (((((@O@ I be like, O M G. Then quickly use my reflexes to fling my hair away and continue to play the rest of the phrase. That is super hilarious. Such an unexpectedly cute incident. It's gonna become a such a great memory to recall back. 🤣 (Some people say they actually thought that was how the song was supposed to sound like? Such a big LOL. A great way of indicating that I at least didn’t made the incident obvious. I finished the rest of the song with some strands still present in my mouth.) Other than that specific part, compared to my usual performance, I think this is the best version that I have ever performed so far.

I was able to chat with many people that liked my performance including the VIP of this event. Appreciate everyone’s praises and encouragements. 顺意老师，my chinese orchestra instructor which just so happened to be there also said he enjoyed my performance. I didn’t know he was present during the event until the event finished! Other than that, I also initiated and befriended the technician that was controlling the PA system that day. Apparently he is self-taught and was also excited to chat and share his audio engineering knowledge together with me. I feel like I can learn so much from him. I should find him again through other events to ask whether I can become his mentee🤭. Such a wonderful night it is. It made me so grateful and happy to be able to give this performance that day.

Heard that the mic was off'ed when I was promoting for this Instagram acc. Welp, that's unfortunate 🤣. We'll leave it to next time to try again then.

It was such an incredible night. Thank you to everyone involved and the committee that have organized this event. Hope there'll be more similar opportunities in the future where we can work together on these kinds of events again.
