This was one of the more unique things I saw in the Indiecade at E3 2016. It's a plush octopus with various sensors and a sleeve for an iPad with a free app so that you can interact with it while reading a picture book with your kid. It can be hugged, read RFID chips, have its arms wiggled, face poked, etc.. I can't imagine it being affordable, but the concept is neat.
