Oculus Rift DK2 - Interleave VR "Mark One" - Dev Report #1
Taking a look at the latest state of Interleave VR "Mark One", the now greenlit successor to the Oculus Rift DK1 shoot em up demo created in 2014. The game now has its basic structure in place, featuring title screen & menus, new game options along with an opening prelude scene, one fully working level consisting of two scenes (one world and one warp tunnel) and the partial start segment of the game's second level.
While the game most definitely won't be ready to play right away when customers get their Rifts, the objective is to release a complete, playable product, staying clear and far away from Early Access as much as humanly possible. The objective is to have five levels each containing world and warp tunnel scenes, with a special twist or two in the later levels, notably having the last level being three or four scenes in sequence, having a final boss spanning more than one scene.
At this point a late 2016 release date could be likely, but this is subject to sudden change as with any indie game project!
