Oculus Rift DK2 - Quake 2 Virtual reality mod Quake2VR
0You need:
Oculus rift set
The pak0 file from your original quake 2 CD.
And the modded quake2VR installer.

In this video i used Version 1.9.3 (Pre-release) from github releases.
I am using the Rift runtime 0.6.0
Rift must be set in extended mode.
Remember to disable the Rift Saver.
The rift does not need to be the primary display, quake2vr will find the rift display automatically.
Optionally you can rip the music from your disc to OGG format and place them in the baseq2\music folder to get the full experience :D
This mod also works on the steam version of the game, if you don't have the game on steam, then shutdown the steam client
or you won't be able to launch the game.
It can be a fast paced game, so if you tend to get motion sickness, then you should not play to long.
Anyone who has the DK2 and like first person shooters should try this. I can not describe in words how awesome this is.
Normally i don't get scared of games, and i don't think that quake 2 is categorized as a horror game, but when that monster was in my face and i didn't anticipate it, that got me. And i have played that level so many times, and it still got me.
