I suck at this segment. Anyways, time was started as soon as I exited the loading screen at the start of the video and ended as soon as Ninetails was defeated. I want to first state that I don't know if Speed Storage is considered violation of "Glitchless", I haven't looked it up and honestly don't care enough to. Also I'm well aware that Okami runs are done using In Game Time but that's not really something I can use in this sense so uhhhh rip. RTA stands for Real Time Attack, basically how much irl time it takes to do something.

I used to speedrun Okami NG+ glitchless before but I stopped due to not being able to record the final boss because the people that decided that a game originally released on ps2 needed that. This is the best time I've ever gotten on this and I'm honestly pretty surprised. Oni Island is easily the part I'm worst at and I was just going for sub 20 mins. I'll freely admit that I'm not super versed in a lot of the strats used in speedruns and the only Okami speedrun I've seen was the boring any% where they skip the entire game using glitches.

The main reason I chose Oni Island is because a friend of mine loves this segment of the game and has always been much better at it than I am. A lot of the strats I used here in this are his and he is so much faster here than me. Oni Island can be incredibly tough to do consistently due to all the little details; it can really test a player's ability to move and perform despite how jank the game can be at times. Not to mention messing up can cost you a lot of time.

This run could be improved with a few things. Firstly you can skip the lava geyser at the start with a well timed jump and air dash. A few of the Tobi Races could've been improved slightly. Not getting hit on the laser section (easily the hardest part). Doing the large 2D section better. Not getting hit by the spider in the room with the aerial electric platforms. Not getting screwed by the vine in the final Tobi race. And of course just doing better at the Ninetails fight. Had none of this occurred this attempt could have been sub 17 mins which is very surprising considering how bad I usually do here. Anyways, I don't plan to upload much in the way of Okami stuff like this. I just kinda felt like doing it since a different friend of mine speedran a segment in another game and it made me want to revisit Okami. Hope you enjoyed this at least. If you're someone who actively speedruns this game, please don't flame me for not knowing speedrun strats.
