Request Playthrough | Part 5: Exploring Tsuta Ruins
With key in hand, we're ready to explore our first dungeon of Okami, the Tsuta Ruins.
The Tsuta Ruins is a place that is filled with poison and dread but it's here we face off against tough foes. Like dungeons, you need to go from point A to point B all while dealing with many foes. In addition, we also get our hands on the Vine brush ability. That's going to be helpful especially for exploration and battle. Also, the dungeons are also home to stray beads. We'll find them in the next part of course.
In the end you will face off against your first real dungeon boss, an eight-legged Spider Queen. To take him down, you will need to use the Vine ability to connect the vines to its back side. Once you snare enough, the spider's behind will blossom and you can attack it. Alternatively, when it grabs some kind of item, you can slash that, and it'll get stunned. You can then use the vines to open up its backside then attack. Take advantage of slash attacks to deal damage to all its eyes.
Once all its eyes are dealt with, that's it. We defeat the Spider Queen, rescue the dog and obtain the divine instrument Snarling Beast, a reflector shield. We also rescue the dog Ume as well.
