Gold Mario is an interesting story. This unboxing was made in April, about a month after he came out in the USA. My dad camped out at Walmart for the midnight release of him, and didn't get lucky. Due to a quick purchase on eBay and a coupon, though, my dad got lucky with a $21 Gold Mario amiibo. He is a Walmart exclusive, and has never been restocked past the initial launch on 3/20, outside of his first appearance in Australia over the summer, and a Mario Maker bundle alongside Mario Maker, 8 Bit Classic Mario, and a ridiculous price tag.
