After another failed attempt at killing the Living Failures, I summon a NPC hunter to help me out. It pays off as I finally kill off the Living Failures, and I receive a key to the Astral Clocktower which is at the other end of the Living Failures battleground. As I enter the Astral Clocktower, all that is here are the lifeless remains of a woman sitting in a chair. Until I try to touch her, than she comes to life and kills me. I return and face the woman known as Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower, and man is she difficult to interpret. After loosing to Maria a second time, I return to face Lawrence with another NPC hunter. Still no luck on killing him so back to Maria I go, this round I land some good offensive strikes. Unfortunately Maria (like every other boss) has a second form where she impales herself with her weapons, adding blood splatter that increases attack range and power. With another loss to Maria, I'm not so positive I will finish the Old Hunters, and I'm fine with it.
