Bruce and Alfred return to the ally where Bruce's parents were murdered. Alfred tries to help Bruce remember what happened that night, and eventually Bruce remembers the shooter Joe Chill was supposedly hired by Falconi. Bruce heads to the GCPD to question Falconi about everything. Harvey Dent is waiting for Bruce, and Gordon takes them to the infirmary where Falconi is recovering. Bruce wants to talk to Falconi alone, as Harvey doesn't want to tarnish his name any further. Bruce and Falconi mostly talk about Bruce's parents, and how Bruce and Falconi are basically family. Falconi explains that he never ordered the hit on the Wayne's, but before he can say who did, Falconi is gunned down by an officer of the GCPD. The officer is disarmed and taken into custody, with Falconi dead Gordon and Dent think of ways to prevent this incident from being spread around Gotham. Bruce takes some time to do some scans on the unconscious officer, and finds that she had been injected with something. The officer doesn't remember what happened during the shooting, but remembers someone telling her that Falconi was going to escape. Bruce leaves the GCPD but not before being questioned by Vicki Vale, who already knows there was a shooting at the GCPD. Bruce refuses to comment and continues on his way bact to Wayne manor.
