KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE is an incredibly massive project I've been wanting to do forever. The only thing that was stopping me from actually working on it was the still-incomplete plot of the χ[chi] portion of the whole saga, which is also the most confusing one. However, I did want to deliver this before the release of KINGDOM HEARTS 3, so we could have the perfect road to the final chapter of the Xehanort saga at our disposal and relive, together, all of the chapters in a definitive and never-seen-before way.
KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE is, in fact, different by any other playthroughs or projects around because it is composed of all the Kingdom Hearts titles released so far placed in chronological order. Beware – the events are actually settled chronologically. Which means that every single cutscene and/or gameplay part will follow the exact order of the events of the saga. For instance, the birth of Vanitas will be shown before the Mark of Mastery exam, and so on.
Every episode will start with a screen showing a complete timeline I created purposely for this project.
NOTE:
1) Whenever a character is talking in the background in a cutscene, showing event of the past and purely acting as a narrator (like Chirithy), I can't do anything but leave the cutscene where it's supposed to be for the sake of people's comprehension. Which means, if Chirithy is just narrating about how he was born, that scene won't be put next to the Master of Masters creating him.
2) As seen in the Timeline at the beginning of each episode, the events of the PC browser version of Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] happen before Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross]. The events happening in Union χ [Cross] are, in fact, just a retelling of the events happened in the PC Browser version. However, considering the technical difficulties of dealing with the PC Browser version videos (that game is not playable anymore since 2 years), I am instead using the Union χ [Cross] videos and gameplay to cover the events. They're just the same, but with better video quality. Union χ [Cross] allows me to record whatever I want, whenever I need; it is officially in English; it allows me to mute the background music in the settings, giving me the chance of merging cutscenes and gameplay in a way the PC Browser version wouldn't let me.
Just know this – you won't be missing anything. There will be a time where the events exclusive to the PC browser will actually take place, and you will notice it with the apposite icon appearing on the bottom of the screen.
In the past, I worked on a similar project (Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX: HD Chronicles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ic8ibtrgO4g&list=PLhcSrKyqhfh4YJ5wleLzccuEsfS8AK6JU) and the main perk of it was the ability to disable the background music through codes and add one myself when editing, so I could mix multiple cutscenes and gameplay parts following a proper flow.
Considering that the KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE project is made of the Kingdom Hearts HD collection for PS4 (KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 FINAL CHAPTER PROLOGUE), it is impossible being able to disable music and have the same amount of freedom I had like with Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX: HD Chronicles. I know you wanted more epic stuff like that, but hey, not my fault!
Lastly, I want you guys to know that the amount of effort being put for this is massive. There are countless hours of work and dedication I've spent (and still spending) for this, for something we all love and care about.
My channel is, after all, always been made of this – content that will grant you one of the best levels of knowledge and enjoyment of the Kingdom Hearts saga – and, as much as it's stressful having to translate every Japanese Union χ [Cross] episode, I still do that to deliver the latest story updates of the saga for you.
My main goal is working as much professionally as I can and add details where normally people wouldn't add. Not liking a content is totally fine, whereas insulting and posting offensive comment is not. There is nothing worse than spending your own time to show dedication for something we all love and see offensive reactions coming back at you. For this whole project to be completed, suggestions and questions coming from fans are well accepted and needed.
