💙Niji and 🤎Otto

🤍Merlin 💛Sparky 💙Niji 💚Kiwi 💙Blue 🤎Otto

Niji is just reaching older age. I believe I have mentioned this in the desc of a prior video, such as one also calling an "old girl" or something around those lines.

She was actually originally a return to the store we were at 2 days after adopting the other 4. A whole different store as well, and I saw her. the colors of course caught my eye, and she was feisty and got out when they tried getting her, but she was clipped before we ever even saw her. We do not know how long she was adopted before being returned, but she aged pretty in like with everyone else according to their Ceres and features developing.

It is scary to say, doing the math this month makes her around 7 years old. that's halfway for the lifespan, but the mark of the average if not sometimes older.

We as well as she is lucky to of made it this far in her age, as Sparky was unfortunate to of missed it by not that long, but still lucky to of made it as far as he did.

As I type this she is preening, after recording she was chirping, and then grinding her beam while resting a second.

She is happy, she loves the coconut hut to lay in too.

the thing that would be a big update is that bump on her right, our left. Merlin developed a similar bump on her back that ended in paralysis of one leg suddenly one day after a few months of happy but altered special care.

Niji's bump has been rather slow like Merlin's, but it hasn't stopped her it seems. She hasn't acted differently or anything of the sort, she's been happy and active which is all we can ask for.

Vets couldn't do much for Merlin besides when she had to be helped one final time, and Niji is nowhere near the issues Merlin was experiencing.

Also, for small birds and animals in general, being put under for a surgery can be the one thing that ends up taking their life, so unless it was deemed possible unlike Merlin, and also needed, I believe this is her best bet.

She is the last of her flockmates and she alongside Merlin were the only 2 of the 5 who could've been without bigger complications due to their personalities and issues.

Otto is still her friend, but from a distance. She enjoys his as well as our company.

She does her flippes, she chirps loud like she is now and "talks", and she loves her millet.
