[OLD] [ROM Hack] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Definitive Edition+ (v1.2.3)
*I WILL NOT BE RELEASING A PRE-PATCHED ROM, YOU'LL HAVE TO USE A ROM PATCHER THAT SUPPORTS XDELTA1 PATCHES LIKE XDELTA UI: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/598/*

This is a showcase of version 1.2.3 of my Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Definitive Edition+ ROM hack that serves as an addendum of the original Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Definitive Edition hack.
This hack has a myriad of improvements, such as bug fixes and Quality of Life changes to create the best way to play Dawn of Sorrow.
Some of these changes include: starting off with the Tower Key in Julius Mode, restoring Alucard’s original jump kick animation for the straight-down variant, giving equipment and souls new stat boosts and attributes, better character animations, new movement options for Yoko and Alucard, etc.
Check out the readme TXT or the PDF within the ZIP file in the RHDN page for a list of every change made from the original Definitive Edition hack, excluding very minor changes like the de-capitalization of a letter or the removal of an extra space.
There are four patches in the ZIP file: two for the original character portraits of Dawn of Sorrow (old portraits), and another two patches with new ones in the style of Ayami Kojima’s art from ShadowOne333’s Dawn of Dignity hack (new portraits).
A new addition to version 1.2.3 are the Light version patches, which reverse changes made to some enemy names, new map tile colors, and Axe type weapons being able to hit twice per swing, like in Portrait of Ruin.
This hack only needs to be patched to a clean ROM of Dawn of Sorrow with a ROM patcher compatible with XDELTA1 files like xdelta UI: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/598/
