I played the crap out of this game growing up, it was crazy amounts of fun playing with a friend. The AI wasn't that much fun to play against, so you almost needed that other player. You could play co-op or competitively and if you were lucky enough to own a NES multi-tap 4 b-ballers could simultaneously be basketballing. I never personally got the chance to do that, but I could only imagine how much fun that would have been.
