From: Rathausmarkt to Bahnof Altona Terminal


And finally the last run of what was an okay showing of the Hamburg Bus Line, I expected more routes as always but as always this was the type of line that went from excitement to disappointment similar to the Chicago Line. Today's run features the shift from Rathausmarkt to Bahnof Altona which is finally a new terminal and not just a terminal, a great one! This is a new route as well, route 688 apparently runs from 12AM to 4 AM on the weekends only which to me seems very strange because who actually decides to take the bus at that time? Why so late running a route that can be used to help the 109 on some parts during the day. Well I wrapped up the line using the same bus model which transmits the automated announcements which is very nice and honestly one of the best things I've seen on this line, the scenery was nice as well, but again more routes could've been a better sighting. Of course, no cars on the streets so why not speed up the shift? There was some instances where I braked too fast and at the wrong moments too, but I was a little late on the shift so I did have to speed it up because no one likes to make it late to the last stop... The actual bus terminal is something to talk about actually, it looks very nice it kinds looks like an airport terminal. Barely anyone rode the bus right until I shifted to the 688 route which from that point I began picking up passengers and again why are they waiting outside at 1AM! I even saw some alone in strange stops it looked unsafe actually. That does finish the Hamburg Line, tomorrow is the debut of the Austrian Line Wein 2 it's called I think so stay tuned for that.
