One Hour Of "Silent Hill", a survival horror game developed by Team Silent and published by Konami for the original Playstation in 1999.
In the game the players gets to play as protagonist Harry Mason who is on his way to a vacation with his daughter Cheryl, but a car accident and the mysterious disappearing of his daughter Cheryl stop him at the foggy titular town of Silent Hill. As soon as Harry sets out to search for his missing daughter Cheryl he soon realizes that nothing in Silent Hill is as it seems at first glance.
The game is one of the most popular Playstation games, oftentimes compared to Resident Evil. Despite both games can be categorized as members of the Survival Horror genre family, Silent Hill rather heavily emphasizes on a disturbing and unsettling atmosphere to create its intense horror flair rather than the gory B-movie action horror of the Resident Evil franchise.

Im Spiel übernimmt man die Rolle des Protagonisten Harry Mason, welcher zusammen mit seiner Tochter Cheryl auf den Weg in den Urlaub ist, doch ein Autounfall und das mysteriöse Verschwinden seiner Tochter Cheryl bringen ihn in die namensgebende und nebelverhangene Stadt Silent Hill. Sobald sich Harry auf die Suche nach seiner Tochter Cheryl macht stellt er auch alsbald fest, das nichts in Silent Hill so ist wie es scheint.
Das Spiel ist einer der beliebtesten Titel für die Playstation und wird oftmals mit Resident Evil verglichen. Obwohl man beide Spiele der Survival Horror Genre-Familie zuschreiben kann, so setzt Silent Hill doch eher auf eine verstörend-beunruhigende Atmosphäre um sein Horror-Flair zu erzeugen, anstelle des eher B-Movie artigen blutigen Action-Horrors, welchen die Resident Evil-Reihe für sich nutzt.
