Playthrough of Age of Mythology Retold mission 5 - Just Enough Rope on Titan Difficulty
An attack that goes too well is probably a trap.
Gate leading into the city has been destroyed, but Ajax found himself surrounded by enemy troops. Arkantos decides to cease the further assault and aid his comrade in arms to defend from attacks coming from secondary base belonging to enemy.
You will need to play this one carfully. A true godsend and miracle in this mission is the fact that you can use god pwoers multiple tiems, provided you have enough of favor to do so - and my plan was relying primarly on this. I decided to hold my ground and stop enemy advances at every step, by destroying the secodnary Stable nearby, towers and fortress they tried to construct near my base, defended every assault with use of Hoplites and Hero units, and attempted a quick tech up to Mythic age, where i was given access to unit that underwent drastic changes compared to original title - Medusas. Unlike in OG game, they can now use their ability on enemy Myth units, which gave me a new way to deal with enemy Collosus. With them, Peterbolos and Myrmidons i was able to finally assault the enemy base and complete the mission.
