Assault on Trojan gate - 04 A Fine Plan, Age of Mythology Retold (Titan Difficulty)
Playthrough of Age of Mythology Retold mission 4 - A Fine Plan on Titan Difficulty
We cannot let the mere gold problems delay our Troy conquest, Admiral - order your troops to find alternative sources of gold income to proceed.
The plan is simple - While Ajax's and Agamemnon's army wait for the right time to move, Arkantos and Oddyseus are tasked with spearheading the assault on Trojan Gate. However, their camp encounters a rather problematic shortage of resources...
So yeah. You have no gold income whatsoever, and this will quickly become a problem because you will need to muster forces to counter enemy troops ready to kill you. There are couple of ways in which you can do so:
- Storm the nearby gold mines to recover the resource from enemy storages and claim the gold mines for yourself
- Send villagers to a gold mine located on a small island nexty to your base
- Breach into the Pink enemy camp that has gold mine and relic providing the slow income of gold
- Assault the Town Center located to the west to claim it and nearby gold mnines for yourself.
And obviously as a clown that i am, i decided to do all of that. Because why not. As for the defense, there are two units that will help you a lot. First one is Scylla, a naval unit that works similar to Hydra - growing heads when elliminating enemies, which causes the enemy navy to quickly shatter and surrender, providing you with all the fishing ship income in the world. The other one is obviously Hydra itself - regeneration, insane damage, all you will need to survive all the enemy encounters. As a late age unit choice i decided to go for Hetaroi, a cavalry unit available for Poseidon at Mythic Age, with AoE damage and benefiting from all Cavalry upgrades. Together with Hydras and Collosus they made a short work of final enemy instalation.
