Last week, I finally played through Metroid Other M. After seeing all the hatred the game had recieved from the Metroid fanbase, I was understandably curious to see how the most recent entry in the franchise had shaped up. And so, after a week of playing, reflecting, writing, and recording here it is - my review of Metroid: Other M on the Wii. It's quite long (the full review is 18 minutes), but I felt that, for such a controversial release, it was warranted. I tried to cover everything that I felt was of note, without spoiling the game.

I apologise that the review's visual component is basically just a glorified slideshow (particularly near the end), but it's very hard to fill 18 mins with random video clips which don't spoil the game significantly. I was thinking about just making this an audio-only production, but I know that I always like to have something to look at when viewing reviews so I figured I'd put something in there - the eye candy's just a bonus ;) Just a note if you 'dislike' this review, I'd appreciate you leaving a comment telling me why. Criticism is always helpful (but as I say, the verbal component is the important part).
