So, what happened in that last match? I thought I’d hit “Start Over” and use the invincibility frames to boost through the level rather than grab the Fire Flowers. (Bad idea, but I wasn't thinking straight, and a similar strategy had worked in a much earlier VS stage.) It never occurred to me that helmets would pop out of those Note Blocks. But even if I had realized that, Toad got a helmet right away, so I wouldn’t have won anyway. I could do nothing but chase him, hoping that something would stop him... But nothing did. :(
The music at the end is Emma’s Theme from Pokemon X and Y (my favorite games in the series).
