Here is an OP FOUR ELEMENTS MONK Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3. What is nice about this build is you can cast spells even if you're silenced. You can also go around punching people as a bonus action, so you get the best of both worlds. I'm using the flame blades here, but you can use really any weapon for this, the nyrulna works well too as a throwing weapon benefiting from tavern brawler.
The nice thing about the four elements monk is they get good mobility, damage and utility. Hold person is also really nice to have
